Quality Assurance - Returns

Fullerton Tool Company is looking for a candidate to fill the Quality Assurance - Returns position, in which they would work directly with customers to resolve performance issues on tools by performing timely investigations and analysis on returned tools. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Comply with established job safety practices as well as company policies and procedures at all times.
• Effectively communicate with customers to find out the root cause of tooling issues.
• Inspect tools returned by customer and generate Cause and Preventive Actions.
• Manage the Corrective Action Report (CAR) process; log customer complaints and update as necessary.
• Inform management of all pertinent issues that require action and resolution.
• Collaborate with Engineering to have prints clarified or corrected when needed.
• Assist Tool Inspector in day-to-day tooling inspections (in-process and final) as needed.
• Assist Quality Assurance with gage calibration and training records as necessary.
• Execute Quality Systems Audits when assigned.
• Provides training and assistance to new and cross-training employees.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area. (5S)

Qualifications/Education/Skills:

• 1-5 Years of Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to use and understand all measuring and inspection equipment.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written.
• Dedicated to being at work and on time (attendance). 
• Works as a team player, cooperative, and adaptable to changes; builds positive relationships.
• Must be detail-oriented.

Equipment Used:
Computer, microscope, micrometers and gage blocks, and various inspection equipment.

Working Conditions:
Working with extremely sharp cutting tools. This position operates within a manufacturing environment and has occasional exposure to loud noise, grinding oil/coolant, grinding dust, fumes, and moving mechanical parts.

Physical Requirements:
Requires lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40lbs. Frequent walking, reaching, handling, grasping, using hands to handle or feel, and turning/twisting. Occasionally required to stoop, bend, or sit. Also requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
